A compact selection of the species.  Although growth was 8½' by 8' after 14 years, it is still considered compact when compared to the species.  Dark green leaves are 6" long and 2" wide.  In the winter, the leaves do not roll or curl to the extent of the species indicating that 'Cree' "may" be hardier than the species.  Only trials and time will tell.  Flowers and fruit of the species.  Introduced in 1994 by the National Arboretum.
