Viburnum sargentii Yellow Fruited Sargent Viburnum

Viburnum sargentii 'Flavum'

Yellow Fruited Sargent Viburnum

A large, upright, vase-shaped shrub.  Dark green summer foliage is distinctly 3 lobed with the center lobe being noticeably elongated.  Large, creamy-white, flat-topped cymes in May produce golden yellow translucent fruits with a hint of pink blush which sets this cultivar apart from the species and related cultivars.  Fruit is held high above the foliage making it extremely effective.  Planting with a red fruiting cultivar will ensure pollination and create an impressive contrast.  Zone 3
