A small compact, rounded shrub growing 5 to 7' tall and as wide. Flowers are white, typical of the species, but smaller. Flowers on and off throughout the summer similar to V. plic. f. tom. 'Summer Snowflake'. Differentiated from 'Summer Snowflake' in that the foliage is a lighter green and although it has horizontal branching, it does not exhibit a true tiered form. Fruit is sparse and not effective. A good dense compact shrub introduced from Wada's Nursery in Jajpan. It is said to have been discovered by Mr. Kenji Watanabe in the foothills of Mount Fuji and propagated at his nursery in the mid 1950's. Zone 5
