Viburnum opulus 'Compactum'

A small rounded shrub reaching 5-6'.  More spreading than V. trilobum 'Compactum'.  Flat-topped flowers produced in May are typical of the species, followed by glistening scarlet-red fruit which persist into winter.  Fall color is red.  Along with its compact habit, it flowers and fruits reliably unlike some of the other compact opulus and trilobum cultivars.  Zone 3
