A medium sized shrub growing 8-10'. At first glance, it could be confused with V. dilatatum. The leaves, dark green on the top and lighter beneath, are covered with dense hairs, top and bottom. Flowers are pink in the bud opening to white. Oval fruits are 1/3" long, yellow-orange, changing to red and remain effective into the winter. Autumn coloration is pruplish-bronze.
