Pubescent, dark green leaves with a velvety texture make a striking backdrop for the creamy-white flowers in late spring that adorn this shrub. Grows 8-10' but not quite as wide. Spring flowers produce an outstanding display of glossy, cherr-red fruits that persist long into the winter. A sight to behold when newly fallen snow blankets the fruit clusters. Fall color is a russset-red. A Don Shadow introduction, Shadow Nursery, Winchester, TN. Zone 5.
One of the best fruiting cultivars.
