Viburnum dentatum

Viburnum dentatum 'Red FeatherĀ®'

A Mike Yanney selection from Johnson Nursery, Wisconsin.  Selected from a block of seedlings because of its vibrant red new growth in the spring and early summer.  As new foliage ages, green veins appear on the red leaf surface giving them a colorful featherlike design.  As the leaves continue to age they will eventually turn all green but new growth will continue to emerge red giving a pleasant contrast.  Flowers and fruit are typical of the species.  This selection develops a rich maroon fall color on a consistent basis.  Grows 8-10' tall and wide.
